Wines
Galileo said that through wine, “wit becomes illustrious and clear, the soul expands, spirits are comforted and happiness multiplies.”
The delicate treatment given to the fruit assures us the aromas of the grapes will appear in our wines, which start their aging process in the best oak barrels, thus sustaining the fruity flavor and aroma of the wine in its maximum expression and complexity. The permanent search for new techniques surprises us with better wines. All the work in the vineyards is done taking into account that the quality of the wine depends strongly on the local conditions, distinguishing a few terroirs within one same denomination of origin, given a particular microclimate (characteristics of the soil, sun light hours, precipitations, wind, altitude, etc.) and the local techniques used for vinification and viticulture. We base our work on de fundamental principles of traditional agriculture. Our concern is centered in obtaining a unique product, apt for commercialization.
Habitual and moderate consumption of wine, especially red wine, has beneficial effects on human health. Red wine is rich in polyphenols, particularly quercetin and resveratol, elements to which the protective effect of wine is attributed. Epidemiological studies that relate ingestion of polyphenols with the risk of cancer and coronary heart disease in humans are inclined to recommend the consumption of this product.
Our Premium line of wines is kept in barrels, ready to be exported in bottles to the whole world. We focus on each detail during the bottling process to guarantee the high quality of the product, maintaining all its virtues.
Our standard wine line (common wine) is stored in aseptic tanks, ready to be exported to the whole world in aseptic bins or flexitanks. The same as with our Premium wines, we focus on each detail during the bottling process to guarantee the high quality of the product, maintaining all its virtues. Our Varietals
Each variety has distinctive notes depending on the region it comes from and even on the particular signature of each producer.
When we speak of Argentine wine and particularly Mendocinian wine, the most popular varieties are usually preferred: Malbec or Cabernet Sauvignon in the case of red wines or Chardonnay, Torrontés or Sauvignon Blanc in the case of whites. However, there are also other types of less popular grapes that are cultivated in our country and help expand the wine world.
In the past, the most cultivated variety in the province of Mendoza, Argentina, was Bonarda, which now holds the second place. In previous years this variety had little prestige because it was not vinified and it was used for the most economic bottles. Today, some wineries have decided to elaborate it as a varietal for its characteristics as a friendly wine, with soft tannins and aromas of blackberries, strawberries and raspberries.
Just like Bonarda, Tempranillo had no identity of its own because it was used for blends in generic wines (prepared with more than one variety of grapes), but it has been revalued by some wineries that are using its name on labels. The wine is fruity to the nose, fresh in mouth, with firm tannins, notes of acid fruits such as cranberries and raspberries and robust.
Although an old variety that has spread around the world, Syrah has just started to win a place as a varietal and bi-varietal since the ‘90’s. It outstands for being a type of grape that can be used to produce red and rosé wines with wood. It is silky and has great body in mouth and the tannins are soft. It has a good color and fruity aromas but with a marked presence of spices.
Pinot Noir is used frequently to produce white wine and also as a base for sparkling wine. The result is a wine that is soft in mouth, with little tannic potential, a medium to light tone color, with a fruity and even floral aroma.
Chenin is also used for generic wines and as a base for sparkling wine but it is produced as a varietal because it has better qualities than the Pedro Jimenez variety and is appreciated for being fresh, with fruity characteristics and a floral aroma.
